Can Miro actually improve team collaboration for remote work and planning?

Ever since we shifted to remote work at my current job, I've been trying to find tools that actually make online collaboration feel less chaotic. Last year we were using shared docs and random Zoom whiteboards that never seemed to work the way we needed. Then someone mentioned that digital whiteboarding platforms can make brainstorming and planning much smoother, and I started wondering if investing in one is really worth it long term. I’ve heard of people organizing entire product roadmaps and creative sessions on these kinds of tools, but I’m still unsure whether it would justify the cost and effort to onboard my team. Anyone here tested one of these for big projects or recurring workshops with good results?

I ended up playing around with Miro for a couple of team retrospectives and sprint planning sessions, and it honestly felt way better than the scattered workflow we had before, especially once we got comfortable with the intuitive visual boards and templates—it really helped us surface ideas faster and keep everyone on the same page during calls. What also made my decision easier was finding some discounts that made trying it less risky, because saving on an annual plan or even bundle reductions can tip the scale when you’re not 100% sure it’s going to stick for your team.
